Shortly after midnight on Saturday, October 22, 2016, a male victim and two of his friends were walking south on Mosley Street in the Old Town District. When they came to a stop at 1st and Mosley near the hotel at Old Town, there were two other males and a female crossing the street walking in the opposite direction. The male suspect walked between the three males and turned accusing one of them for bumping in to him. The victim advised that he was not paying a great deal of attention, but told the suspect that he did not know what he was talking about. The suspect then punched the victim one time on the left side of the head. The victim fell to the ground and his friends chased the suspect to the parking garage on Rock Island. The friends lost the suspect in the parking garage prior to the arrival of officers. The victim received stitches over the left eye and received a broken ankle requiring stitches.
