CRIME STOPPERS CASE 1829

FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 16, 2018
WICHITA POLICE DEPARTMENT: DETECTIVE J. MILLER

On August 2, 2018 at approximately 7pm, a family of 4 was driving in the area of 1100 N. Emporia. The suspect was driving behind them, and when he passed, he pointed a handgun at the vehicle, placing them in fear. The victim vehicle made several turns in an attempt to evade the suspect, but the suspect continued to follow; eventually firing one round while in the area of St. Francis and Zimmerly Streets. No one was injured.

The suspect was driving a maroon/burgundy early 2000 model Isuzu Rodeo and is described as an older while male wearing glasses and a dark hat. A video camera in the area captured the suspect’s vehicle.
