BARTEL, WICHITA POLICE DEPARTMENTShortly after 3 a.m. on July 14, 2013, police were called to a shooting in the 800 block of east 11th. When they arrived they found James Gary suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken by ambulance to Wesley Medical Center where he later died. Two men and two women also were shot. They survived, but one of the victims is now a quadriplegic.

SUPANCIC, WICHITA POLICE DEPARTMENTA man with a silver handgun entered the Parklane Pharmacy, 1520 S. Oliver, on Tuesday, Sept. 19. He pointed his gun at the employees and demanded a variety of prescription narcotics and money from the register. He left and headed north in an older model, small white compact car. The robber is a white male, mid-30s, 6 feet tall with a medium build.
