Important Boxer Registration Information
                             Please Read Carefully

If you plan to box in the 2013 Guns ‘n Hoses Boxing Tournament, you must be a member of USA Boxing.  Before you can begin your training, you must follow the USA Boxing registration/re-registration steps below.

1.       Go online at USA Boxing to register or re-register to box at http://www.teamusa.org/USA-Boxing/Membership/Athlete-Registration.aspx

2.       If you are under 35 years of age, once you have registered or renewed your registration online at USA Boxing print out your registration form and contact Israel Villa at 316-305-4606.  He will take your registration form and give you a USA Boxing passbook.

3.       If you are 35 years of age or older, you MUST:

         a.       Register or re-register online at USA Boxing at http://www.teamusa.org/USA-Boxing/Membership/Athlete-Registration.aspx

          b.      Have a physical exam and an eye exam by your physician.  There is a form the doctor must fill out.  Pick up the form and your Master Level USA Boxing passbook at the offices of the Wichita Crime Commission, 300 N. Main, Suite 202.  Have you physician complete both the medical exam form AND sign your yellow passbook.

          c.       Once you have had your physical exam, print out your USA Boxing registration/re-registration form and contact Israel Villa at 316-305-4606.  Mr. Villa will need that form and the medical exam and yellow passbook signed by your physician to complete your registration to box.

4.       If you already have a white USA Boxing passbook, you must still register online and then take your passbook to Israel Villa who will validate it for 2013.  Contact him at 316-305-4606.  If you already have a Master Level USA Boxing passbook, you must still complete steps 3 a. and b above.

5.       You will also be provided with a Boxers Training Log Form which you will take to your trainer each time you train.  Keep this form.  Your coach will initial the form after every training session.

6.       After the Guns ‘n Hoses tournament, bring the Boxer's Training Log Form to the offices of the Wichita Crime Commission and you will be reimbursed for your training costs and USA Boxing registration fee.

Register with USA Boxing as soon as possible!!  Don't wait to register.  You are required to complete a minimum of 15 training sessions with a certified trainer, and if you wait too long to register you'll lose valuable training time and may not be able to complete enough training sessions to qualify for the tournament.

In order to take part in the Coors Light Guns 'n Hoses Wichita Amateur Boxing Tournament you must be a law enforcement officer or firefighter working in Sedgwick, Butler, Cowley and Sumner counties.

BOXERS WHO ARE MATCHED MAY GET THEIR OWN SPONSORS.  IF YOU CHOOSE TO SEEK A SPONSOR OR SPONSORS, YOU MUST HAVE YOUR SPONSORSHIPS SET UP BY MARCH 22, 2013.

The Coors Light Guns 'n Hoses Wichita Boxing Tournament is sanctioned under the rules and regulations of USA Boxing, the non-profit national governing body of amateur Olympic-style boxing in the United States.
