HOW CRIME STOPPERS WORKS

Step 1: Submit an anonymous tip about a crime by one of three ways.

- Submit a tip by clicking here

- Download the free mobile P3 app

**Save your Tip ID and your password that you are given. This will allow you to follow-up.**

Step 2: Your tip will be forwarded to a law enforcement agency for investigation.

Step 3: Law enforcement provides a report on tips that lead to arrests.

Step 4: The Crime Stoppers Board votes to approve tips for rewards.

Step 5: Tipsters are provided instructions to pick up a reward.

It is important to remember to write down and save your tip number and ID in a secure location.
Rewards are paid once a month at a financial institution.
Once we receive a report, we will communicate with you through the P3 site to make you aware of the follow-up instructions.
Tip investigation lengths vary. It is recommended that you check for updates at the beginning of each month. However, you may check for updates at any time in cases where tips are resolved more quickly.
We will inform you on the P3 website if there is an update or if we have questions for you. If you have called the call center, the operator will provide you with an update if one is available.
If you are approved for a reward and you miss the instructions, you may follow up the following month to claim the reward.
